Student Advocacy and Connection

Responding to insights from student victim-survivors, the Hub will provide support platforms for student advocacy through:
-Opportunities to speak out or share anonymously.
-Pathways to participate in co-designed forums or campaigns.
-Programs built from your feedback, for your wellbeing (including Reclaiming My Place).
-Support finding services or making a report.

Arts-Based Programs

Reclaiming My Place is a welcoming space for women and gender diverse victim-survivors and allies to connect and explore creative practices. No art experience needed. Participating students will get a free art pack and can access online resources.

Learn More About the Research

The project team has conducted research with students at the University of Newcastle to better understand the impact of GBV on experiences of beginning and participating in study. This research has led to key recommendations for the University and higher education sector, including developing this Hub.

This project was prepared on Awabakal, Darkinjung, Gadigal, Wonnarua and Worimi lands. We acknowledge the unceded lands on which we work and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
